Christmas 09 Show Success

The Christmas show was a great success. The weather was kind to us and the rain stayed away until late afternoon.

We had a steady flow of visitors throughout the day and everyone who visited was most impressed by the standard of products that was available from our talented artisans. We had a good range of visitors, ranging from families with young children to teens to grandparents and even other artists and designers.

The lovely Christine Pike was a big hit with the visitors, demonstrating how to sculpture a paper clay hare from scratch, what was even more impressive was that it was her first time demonstrating in such an environment!

Amanda Crowther from Pink Milk Photography offered free mini-portrait sessions which was happily taken up by some keen parents and adorable children alike.

What was great was that the visitors could meet and talk to the artisans behind the work, learn the inspiration behind the pieces and many of the artisans had even brought along pieces to work on so that people could see exactly how it was done.

A big thank you to the staff at the Cathedral who made everything run like clockwork, the visitors who came and supported us and of course all the artisans who took part.

Made by Artisans was delighted to have been instrumental in showcasing our talented and lovely artisans in the first show.
